We think we need certain conditions to be in place (or gone!) before we can have what we want.

It’s not the truth.

We can create what we want despite all sorts of apparent obstacles being in the way. But what are those obstacles?

I used to believe all sorts of things needed to happen before I could have what I’d really love.

I need more information – so another course or two, another book or 3 to get through first.

I need to be more organised, so time sorting information, putting systems in place, perhaps a course or a book on time management systems….

And then, in order to get what I love, surely I need to become a better person?

Work on the parts of myself that I’ve decided aren’t  “right”. “Fix” the bits of me that aren’t acceptable.

So, perhaps another course or two and a book or three ….

Meanwhile, I didn’t have enough time to have a clear picture of what I’d really love to create in my life and to take the steps towards that!

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining. I’ve had a rich life with so many opportunities and I am truly grateful.

But I’ve always known there was something more available and I’m truly grateful to find that.

I’m constantly inspired by messages from the natural world.

These foxgloves are not growing in the ideal conditions.

The tall ones are growing in pots and their roots have grown out through the bottom into the soil below, which doesn’t have a lot of nutrients available.

And the little one began as a seed from last year’s foxgloves and germinated and grew in a crack in the paving. It went into a little pot and was pretty much ignored for months.

But what have each of them done? They’ve stood up straight, grown as tall as the conditions would allow, flowered and set seed.

That is truly the fulfilment of the life purpose for a Foxglove.

So these plants have said “This is the job I need to do, this is what I want to create, I’ll get on and do what’s needed to fulfil my purpose.”

Okay, so I’m anthropomorphising, (don’t you love that word?), but we can learn a lot from these plants.

We can have boundless opportunities, and yet constantly feel like there are things in the way of us having what we’d love.

And it’s true – there are things in the way.

Here are some of the commonest issues that my clients feel are in the way of the life they’d love:

  • I just haven’t got what it takes to do the things I’d love to do.
  • My family commitments hold me back – I can’t really go for what I want when they need me so much.
  • I’m not in a financial position to go for what I’d really love.
  • The relationship I’m in takes a whole lot of energy and brings me down, so I don’t have anything left to even think about what I’d love. Or..
  • I don’t have a relationship with someone to share the steps to creating a great life.
  • Health challenges stop me from having what I really want.

Most of these issues originate from beliefs formed when we’re very young, and we’re often unaware of how they’re running our lives.

We come up with reasons and excuses for not having what we want, but in client sessions we see how a pattern will keep repeating itself until we’re aware of the way in which it is running us.

When we use simple questioning and processes, clients uncover those beliefs, and can then see how they’ve created patterns that don’t serve them.

When we clear them, a great relationship appears, or the clarity to leave one that doesn’t nourish them.

Clients uncover underlying beliefs which impact their health, and find ways to manage or move beyond the health issues.

What would you love to have, be or do in your life that isn’t there now? It’s time to move beyond the obstacles you think are in the way.

It takes a particular focus, but when you learn that, and choose the steps towards what you love, it will happen. It’s inevitable.

The world is calling for you to blossom, in the way only you can. Time to embrace Foxglove energy…..
